给印度学生表演节目

A show for the Indian Students

今天下午需要穿印度服装表演唱歌跳舞，我跟张伟老师唱歌。现在开始慢慢适应居住条件了，尤其是因为人都十分友善，无须多虑。

This afternoon, we needed to perform singing and dancing in Indian costumes, and I was supposed to sing a duet with Mr. Wei. I didn’t have to worry a lot because I was gradually growing used to the living conditions here and especially because people here were very kind and friendly.

下午大部分的时间都在等一件“大事情”的发生，我们10个人就在基地房间里等了将近4个小时。究竟是什么大事情呢?原来是当地一所代行的学校50年校庆，邀请我们过去表演。

The 10 of us spent almost the whole afternoon --- about 4 hours waiting for a big event to take place. What was it, then? It turned out to be that a local school happened to be celebrating its 50th anniversary and we were invited to give them performances.

女生们换衣服也换了很久，将近是2个小时。我们一共四个表演：1.张伟老师用空灵鼓弹唱《Yellow》;2.我与四五个人一起弹唱《童年》;3.集体跳印度舞;4.梁雨凡跟徐莱表演韩国舞蹈。我们排练时间不多，表演得也不好，但说实话只要图个热闹就好，光是我们这张中国人的脸，一上去场下尖叫声就已经连绵不绝了。

在这里，我们也是外国人，走在大街上，处处有人想找我们拍照。物以稀为贵，大概就是这个道理。

It took the girls a long time --- nearly 2 hours to change to their costumes. In all, we put on 4 performances: 1. Yellow, a song sung by Wei to the beats of his ethereal drum; 2. Childhood, another song sung by me and 4 or 5 others to the accompaniment of guitar; 3. A Hindu dance performed by a group of us; 4. A Korean dance performed by Hina and Sophie.

完成“社区挑战”任务

“Community Challenge”

今天的主要任务是完成一个叫做“社区挑战”的任务：1.做砖2.做奶茶3.手绘Hanna(一种当地的绘画形式，类似于纹身，几天内自动消失)4.跳舞5.做印度飞饼。做这些事情的主要目的也不是为了让我们学习这些技能，而是与当地人沟通交流，建立更紧密的。然而这个活动结束以后，也真正标志着我们本次印度之行即将结束了。

Today, we needed to fulfill a task called “community challenge”, which consisted of 5 sub-tasks: brick making, milk tea making, Hanna (a local form of painting similar to tattoo which will disappear automatically from skin in a few days after being applied), dancing and roti prata making. The main purpose of doing these things was not for us to learn these skills but to communicate with local people and make closer connections with them. Nevertheless, the completion of this task also indicated that our journey to India was coming to an end soon.

在印度迎新年

Say hello the New Year in India

一上午的旅途劳顿，回到酒店也是倒头就睡。做完了最后一个领导力学习的项目，我们到了当地一家有名的餐馆吃了晚饭。

在此之前，同学们用了10分钟的手机跟父母朋友说了声“新年快乐”，随即又自觉归还了手机，完成“不插电挑战”。席间我们看着时间，掐着点在中国时间12点的时候一同说了一句：中国，2020。部分同学在晚上在酒店的顶层观看了跨年烟花表演，一些同学则休息了。

Exhausted by a long and tiring journey in the morning, I fell asleep on getting back to my hotel room.After completing our last leadership project, we went to a popular local restaurant for dinner.

Earlier on, my fellow group members spent 10 minutes sending new year’s greetings to their parents and friends over their phones, then returned their phones so as to test the endurance of their phone batteries.During dinner time, we did perfect timing and expressed our best wishes for our motherland at exactly 12 pm, China time by shouting loud at the same time: China, 2020.Some guys watched the New Year's eve fireworks display on the top floor of the hotel at night, while others went to bed.

在印度最后一天

Our last day in India

在印度真正意义上的最后一天。睡了一个懒觉，早晨我们对项目进行了评估，给未来一年的自己写了一封信，前去参观距离酒店不远的印度国家博物馆。

Today was our very last day in India. We got up late in the morning, and evaluated our project,make our resolutions in the coming new year,and then paid a visit to the Hindu National Museum, which was not far from our hotel.

博物馆很小，但很有印度特色。随即吃完午饭就是购物时间，购物回来发现大家都是大包小包，可见也是把各大商店扫荡了一圈。

Though it was very small, it was uniquely Hindu. After having our lunch, it was shopping time. We shopped around many big malls,and came back carrying bags of all sizes.

我们讨论了在出发前募得资金的最终使用方案，随后在小花园举行了最后的闭幕式。

Through discussion, we finalized the plan about how to use the money raised before we came to India, and then held a closing ceremony in a small garden.

我们在小花园里种下一棵树苗，不知何时再相见?大家分享了各自的感想，就此洒泪分别。

We planted a young tree in the garden,wondering when to meet again. We shared our thoughts,and bid farewell in tears.
