金秋到了，上海宏润博源学校新的一学年抢先拉开了帷幕。伴随着架子鼓的喧嚣、太极武韵的律动、单簧管与钢琴的合奏，以及燃爆的说唱，典礼前的暖场做足了派头。在外方校长Chris与麻老师的主持下，典礼开始了。

With autumn around the corner, a new academic year has begun earlier than usual.The opening ceremony began with the clang of drums, the rhythm of Taiji, the ensemble of clarinet and piano, and the refreshing rap, all contributing to a stylish warming-up.The ceremony was hosted by Chris,our foreign principal, and Ms. Irene Ma.

新老师生见面了!同学们见到熟悉的老师，发出尖叫，Chris校长一一做了简单的介绍。

All the teachers got on stage to greet and welcome all the students back! Some students let out screams when they saw their familiar teachers. Principal Chris briefly introduced all the teachers to the students.

接着，老生代表走上台前，金翰文与廖汪洋同学用流利的英文讲述成长感受：从不下一千次地面临“选择学习10个英语单词还是打一局游戏，不是每次都选择学习，但是每次选择远离手机，就会使得下一次的选择更加轻易”,金翰文同学分享了她是如何一步步锻炼自己的自律能力的;廖汪洋同学呼吁大家珍惜在宏润博源的每一天，“不要回头, 明天又是新的一天“，把握当下。

Then, Nicole Jin, representative of 10th graders, and Jeffery Liao, representative of 12th graders, stepped onto the stage, and shared with us their experience and feelings in fluent English: “I have made a choice between "10 English words" and "a round of games" for at least one thousand times; I didn't always choose the English words, but each time of my staying away from the phone made my next right choice easier," Nicole shared with us how she gradually become more self-disciplined; Jefferey Liao gave an inspiring speech on cherishing every minute here in SHBS, "Do not look back;tomorrow is a new day; seize the present. "

“这不是老师的学校，这不是领导的学校，这是我们大家的学校。”

“虽然我们来自于五湖四海，但是在这七天的经历让我们彼此熟悉，我们收获了友谊，我们敢于尝试，不一样的体验带来了不一样的成长。”新生代表黄仁亨说。

"This school does not just belonging to any principal or any teacher; it belongs to all of us."

“In this new semester, let's hold onto our dreams and explore the world together."

"Although we come from across the country, we have become familiar with each other during the one-week orientation. We have become friends and have become more courageous in trying. Different experiences have brought us different gains, " said Henry Huang, representative of new comers.

激动人心的颁奖仪式开始了。这是对过去一学年在各方面表现出色的同学的认可与鼓励。

After the the speeches by our student representatives, we witnessed the exciting awarding session.

GPA3.5以上获奖者、全A生，学业进步奖、体育锻炼奖、行为规范奖、社会活动奖、学业优良奖每个上台的同学洋溢着笑容，满满的自信和骄傲。

All prize winners, such as those of GPA3.5+, straight A’s, academic progress, sports, code of conduct, civic engagement, Academic Achievements, Academic Excellence, Gold Awards, Founders' Award were standing on the stage with confident and proud smiles on their faces.

在过去一学年他们率先垂范、用自己的嘉言懿行引领全校学生的发展进步;他们敢于牺牲、乐于奉献，用自己的学习时间换得别人的成长空间;他们辛勤努力、刻苦图强，用滴滴汗水换来成绩的突出与卓越;他们爱校如家，用切实的行动使校园文化更丰富，使社区生活更和睦。他们为学校的发展做出了巨大的贡献，获此殊荣实至名归。

恭喜以下两位同学获得金奖，并每人获得8000元奖学金。 廖同学Jeffery、俞同学Harry在过去一学年他们不但学习成绩优异，在各种学术竞赛中脱颖而出，也在市级或以上的非学术竞赛(网球/Vex机器人)中取得非凡成绩，为学校赢得了荣誉。

“我们很幸运，当世界上大多数国家还处在疫情的混乱之中时，我们可以线下开学。我们应当感恩能有这样的机会和条件一起在学校享受学习的快乐。”博学多才的Steven Bonta代表全体教师进行了双语演讲。

最后，总校长陈文国先生致辞：“同学们如一颗颗种子，要选择适合自己生长的土壤，努力吸收养分;学校开设更丰富的课程，给同学们提供更大的展示平台。要感恩父母提供这么优渥的条件，但幸福感来自内心的成长;做的自己，人人为自己的社区做贡献，让我们的社区环境越来越好，更加适合我们孩子们的成长。“

陈校长祝福大家在新学期获得更大的进步，一起建设更好的校园。

"It is fortunate that when most of the countries in the world are still facing the chaos caused by the covid-19 pandemic, we can start this semester on campus. We should be grateful for the opportunities and privileges provided for us and enjoy ourselves." Steven Bonta, our erudite PhD, spoke on behalf of all teachers.

Finally, Bowen Chen, the General Principal, delivered his speech :" Our kids are just like seeds of plants, so they should choose the soil suitable for their own growth and strive to absorb nutrients from the soil; our school will offer more extensive courses so as to enable kids to develop and improve themselves. As kids,you should be grateful to your parents for providing you with such favorable conditions, but happiness comes from your inner maturity. Try to do your best and be your best self. Everyone needs to contribute to their own community so that our community will be a better place for our students to grow up and develop."

Bowen wished all greater progress in the coming semester.

开学典礼闭幕了。我们各自走向自己的教室，走向班级，新的一学期正式开始了，伴随着满满的激情和憧憬。

Thus the opening ceremony was successfully concluded.All the students walked to their respective homerooms,and they were all looking forward to the new semester.
