沐浴着冬日暖阳，同学们朝礼堂走来，老师们也朝礼堂走来了，形色中有期待，2019年12月9日，上海宏润博源学校校园戏剧节，戏剧班的同学们带来什么精彩节目呢!

Basking in the warm sunlight of winter, students and teachers walked towards the auditorium in anticipation of something great. December 9th was the day for our school’s Drama Festival, so everyone was curious about what wonderful performances members of the drama club would present to us all during the CAS session.

戏剧开场了The plays were on

倏地，礼堂内明亮的灯光骤灭，在同学老师们闪烁的目光中，戏剧开场了。

Suddenly, all the lights in the auditorium went out. In the twinkling eyes of all present, the plays were on.

鬼娃眼冒红光，发出嘤嘤叫声，她们带着面具，毫无表情，将手脚摆成扭曲状地、蹒跚着来到舞台中央，这是徐哲敏、石雨鑫、李筱璇扮演的女巫。

A group of witches, played by xu zhemin, shi yuxin, li xiaoxuan, staggered to the middle of the stage, groaning and wearing cold masks, with their eyes giving off ghost-like red beams and their hands and feet twisted.

舞台光影变幻了，血红的灯光将整个舞台笼罩在一股浓浓的虐杀的氛围下。只见来自十一年级的金依澜学姐狠狠地指向“国王”，又果断地用手指在脖颈处比划了一个杀人的手势。这是她在和“麦克白”密谋杀死国王，篡夺王位。

The light and shadow on the stage turned into scarlet red, which wrapped the whole stage in a strong bloody atmosphere. Elaine Jin, a 11th grader, was ferociously pointing to the “King” while making a gesture of killing.----She was plotting with Macbeth to kill the King and usurp his throne.

在波涛汹涌的大海上，木制帆船勇破激浪。在蔚蓝大海的背景前，由来自十一年级的陈柏翰饰演的“奥赛罗”奋力控制着船舵，用手撇去飞来的杂物、水花。陈同学的表演如此惟妙惟肖，令观众仿佛看见了那艘乘风破浪的帆船。

On the rough sea, a wooden sailboat was sailing forward by plowing big waves. Set in front of the scene of a blue sea, Othello, played by Boyham, a 11th grader, was struggling to steer the boat, with his hand skimming off the debris and spray. He played the role so vividly that the audience seemed as if they had really seen the very boat that was braving the winds and waves.

温暖的小麦黄的灯光照亮了礼堂，优雅的舞曲，演员和受邀观众的欢快舞蹈，戏剧缓缓落下了帷幕。

The Drama Festival drew to a close, with the auditorium lit by a warm and yellow light and with performers and invited audience dancing cheerfully to the elegant music.

仅仅在四十分钟不到的时间里，戏剧班的同学们就为我们展现了三部富有张力的莎士比亚戏剧——《麦克白》、《奥赛罗》和《第十二夜》。只有屏幕上的图片播放着提示，戏剧班同学用几近完美的肢体语言，诠释着对莎翁大剧的理解。似乎也拉开了同学们对经典的向往，以及对人性的探索和回归。

In less than 40 minutes, members of the Drama Club presented us with 3 of Shakespeare's most powerful plays -- Macbeth, Othello, and 12th Night. Cued only by pictures shown on the screen, students from the comedy class interpreted Shakespeare's plays with almost perfect body language. This festival also triggered students’ fascination with classics and their exploration of human nature.

感谢辛勤付出的Betina老师，以及池俊涛、汪天啸、汪洁、徐哲敏、石雨鑫、金依澜、李筱璇、徐铭阳等同学的努力排练和精彩表现，为同学老师们带来了这富有哲理的戏剧演出。(2019.12.09)

Many thanks to the hardworking Miss Betina, and chi, wang, wang, xu, shi, jin, li and xu for their great efforts in the rehearsal and in bringing all the teachers and students a drama show, which taught us many philosophical lessons.
