上海宏润博源学校职业生涯探索及规划活动回顾

明媚三月,春分降临,万物生机盎然,上海宏润博源学校升学部延续了往年的传统活动,开启了为期三周的职业生涯探索及规划活动。本次的主题是“着眼当下,放眼未来”,旨在帮助同学们更好地进行自我探索,了解自己的兴趣爱好,性格特征,擅长的学科和技能,启蒙同学们对未来大学专业和职业的选择,引导同学们树立职业生涯发展意识,从而激发他们的学习动力,合理规划高中生活。

With the spring equinox's arrival in March, everything is full of vitality.Following its tradition established over the past years,the College Admission Department of SHBS started a three-week career exploration and planning activity. The theme for the current activity is “Focus on the present and Look ahead to the future”.We seek to help students to better explore themselves,to understand their own interests and hobbies, traits of character,the subjects they are good at and their skills,so that we can enlighten them on how to choose their own majors and careers in the future and guide them on how to foster a sense of career development,which,in turn,can stimulate their motivation to learn and plan their high school years in a sensible way.

这次活动分为三个阶段,分别为自我探索,职业探索,及职业跟进。

The current activity is to be divided into 3 steps, and they are self-exploration,career exploration and career follow-up respectively.

自我探索

在自我探索阶段,各行政班班主任按照升学部老师的建议,在每天早上P&B(心理与行为课程)时间通过讨论等活动设计帮助同学们进行自我探索。同时在3月22日CAS时间,除了Chris校长关于自我探索的分享外,还引进了国际权威职业人格评估工具- MBTI职业性格测试,帮助同学们更好地了解自己的性格特征,挖掘自身潜能,从而找到合适自己的学习方法或未来感兴趣的专业/职业。这次职业性格测评的重要意义更在于增强同学们去认识和探索自我的意识;也向同学们明确,他们需要有成长型思维,这次职业性格测试只是基于当下的选择而得到的反馈,只是作为自我认识和探索的参考。

During self-exploration,all homeroom teachers,acting on the advice given by the College Admission Department, helped the students explore themselves through discussion and other activities at the P&B (Psychology and Behavior) session every morning. Meanwhile,at the CAS session on March 22nd , we not only invited Principal Chris to share with us his own experience on self-exploration, but also introduced the MBTI personality test, which is an international authoritative assessment tool for professional personality, so as to help students better understand their own personality characteristics and tap their own potential so that they would be able to find the learning methods which would suit them best and the professions and careers they would be interested in in the future.The significance of this professional personality assessment lies in raising students’ awareness that they should better understand and explore themselves; and also in making it clear to the students that they need to have growth-mindsets. The results of this professional personality test is only feedback based on the current choices, and will only serve as a reference for self-knowledge and exploration.

职业探索

在职业探索阶段,学校将针对同学们感兴趣的职业/行业以及学校认为未来会成为新趋势的职业/行业,邀请14-16位行业专家或人士线上或到校和同学们分享他们教育背景,所在行业/职业的入门标准,内容,职业规划,行业故事以及前景等等。届时,同学们可以以小组的形式与自己感兴趣的行业人士进行深入交流,学习这些行业精英的职业规划乃至人生智慧。

During the career exploration, based on the professions or industries students are interested in and what our school thinks will become a rising profession or industry, our school will invite 14 to 16 industry experts or senior professionals to share their education backgrounds, the entry standards of their own industries or professions, content, career planning, industry story and prospects, and so on with the students either online or on campus. By then, students will be able to have in-depth exchanges with senior professionals in the industries they are interested in in the form of group discussion, and learn the career planning and even life wisdom of these industry elites.

职业跟进

在职业探索日结束后的一周,班主们将与学生回顾过去一周的性格测试和专家讲座,深度思考哪位嘉宾的发言让他们留下深刻的印象,并鼓励学生们选择自己感兴趣的某一个职业/行业进行深入了解其背后的工作内容,工作性质,工作前景以及未来的发展前景,并且邀请同学们在班级里进行分享。

In the week after the Career Exploration Day is over, homeroom teachers are going to help students review the personality test and lectures given by experts in the past week, by thinking over which guest’s speech impressed them most. Then they are going to encourage the students to choose a particular profession or industry they are interested in after having an in-depth understanding of the content, nature and prospects of it, and invite the students to share with the whole class.

与往年职业生涯探索活动相比,本届活动的安排在结构,内容,规模,及实用性方面有了进一步提升。班主任老师在学生处和升学部老师带领下集体备课,不仅准备了丰富多层次的职业探索话题,而且结合了各年级同学阶段性的升学目标,对各年级同学进行有针对性的指导。除此之外,为了帮助同学们树立初步的职业规划意识,升学部不仅增加了行业/工种的范畴,更是在家长们的共同协力之下,把职业探索日的嘉宾人数增加了一倍有余。

Compared with such activities conducted in the previous years, this year's program has been further enhanced in terms of structure, content, scale, and practicality. Under the guidance of teachers from the Student Affairs Office and the College Admission Department, all homeroom teachers prepared their P&B sessions by discussing with each other in a workshop. They not only prepared a variety of career exploration topics at different levels, but also offered targeted instructions to students of all grades based on the phased goals of each grade. In addition, in order to help students establish a preliminary awareness of career planning, the College Admission Department not only expanded the categories of industries or jobs, but also, supported by parents, more than doubled the number of guests to speak on the Career Exploration Day.

相信在这次家校合力的“职业探索”活动中,同学们会增强对自我的认识和探索,增强职业规划意识,更加明确未来的方向,也更具备自我驱动力。

We believe that through this "career exploration" activity brought about jointly by our school and parents, students will have a better understanding of themselves, raise their awareness of career planning, become clearer about the future path, and make them more self-motivated.
