时光像一只迁徙的候鸟，在夏日的末尾创造新生。上海宏润博源学校迎来了新一届学生，感慨万千的老师们，跃跃欲试的新生们，怀着欢喜而兴奋的心情开始了新生体验营。

Time is like a migratory bird, which creates new life at the end of summer. As a new group of students joined the community of SHBS, impassioned teachers, and eager freshmen launched the orientation camp with joy and excitement .

22日上午，学长们早早到校，等候暖场表演。

On the morning of the 22nd , some seniors arrived at school very early, waiting for the presentation performances.

10:00正，学姐出场了。汪洁和项思辰随着热曲节奏，踢踏着脚步，舞动生姿。紧接着，礼堂里漾起黑白键的旋律。张庭辉同学指尖在钢琴上的来回拨动，似森林间溪水在人的心间流淌。

At exactly 10 am, Jenny Wang and Season Xiang, two upperclasswomen, performed a dynamic dance accompanied by fast-tempoed music. Immediately after their dance, Peter Zhang played a piano solo, enchanting all those in the auditorium.

主持人王伟老师和英语翻译苗茜楠老师登台，开营仪式正式开始。

Tony Wang, the host, and Helen Miao, the interpreter and hostess, walked to the middle of the stage, and they declared the opening of the orientation camp.

“长江后浪推前浪”，王伟老师如是说。学长们走过的路，新生们都要再走，作为后浪的你们，要把这条路走的更加明朗。一季又一季，一年又一年，学长们在这舞台上已演得娴熟，王伟老师感叹，希望新生也能以他们为榜样。

“The younger generations are more competitive” Tony Wang quoted a famous Chinese saying, and he further explained it by saying that as freshmen, they will have to experience what the upperclassmen experienced, and they will have to learn more from their experience. Year after year, the upperclassmen have become more mature and skilled in the community of SHBS. Tony also hoped that the freshmen would follow the good example the seniors had set for them.

教师代表杨文珺老师细致而亲切地关照我们，要多问问题，不要担心“我的问题是否很傻”，她的话令人感觉我们与老师的距离很近 。

Dawn Yang, faculty representative, amiably told us to ask more questions regardless of how silly they might appear. What she said seemed to bridge the gap between students and teachers.

学生代表蔡晗啸同学十分“有架子”，上台后中英文交错介绍了学长制。接下来的七天，将由学长学姐陪伴新生一同体验，提供帮助和服务。学长制的建立将营造信任和友谊。

Hanxiao Cai, the student representative, is charming and has his own style of speaking. He introduced the system of upperclassman mentoring to the freshmen. In the following 7 days, upperclassmen would be with the freshmen throughout the orientation camp, offering help and service. The establishment of the upperclassman mentoring system will create trust and friendship among us.

之后是外方校长Chris致辞。幽默的Chris 认真地提示三点“惊人之语”一，做个善良的人。二，多喝水。三，洗手，要用肥皂。同时他对新同学们表示了热情的欢迎。

Next, Chris, our foreign principal, gave us a humorous speech, in which he pointed out 3 “amazing” tips for us: 1. Be kind. 2. Drink as much water as possible. 3. Wash hands with soap from time to time. Meanwhile, he warmly welcomed those new students to our school.

开幕式的下半场，刘刘副总校长通过鲜明的例子，给新生寄语。，要找老师求助。第二，尽己所能，今天比昨天做得更好。第三，不违反学校规则。

During the second half of the opening ceremony, Liuliu, Vice General Principal, gave a speech to the freshmen by giving some vivid examples. She also gave the freshmen 3 tips: 1. Ask the teachers for help. 2. Try your best to do better each day 3. Always observe the school rules.

开营式圆满结束，祝新生们在体验营里获得认识自己、认识学校和老师、认识伙伴的新体验，更重要的如刘刘校长所提：“希望新生们在体验营中收获成长”。

The opening ceremony was successfully concluded. We hope that the freshmen will know more about themselves, their school, teachers and schoolmates. More importantly, just as Liuliu mentioned, we hope the freshmen will benefit a lot from this orientation camp.

22日晚，由学生本人竞选、师生投票，体验营营长团队形成，黄仁亨同学代表团队发表“上任演说。”

On the evening of 22nd, the orientation leadership team was established through election and voting. Henry Huang, the camp leader, was making his inauguration speech on behalf of his team.
