读万卷书，行万里路，学生要用自己的脚去丈量世界，用自己的眼去发现规律，用自己的心去感受变化，用自己的理性去融汇不一样的文化，这就是学习，亦即本次夏令营之初衷。2019年7月8日下午的浦东机场似乎格外温情，上海宏润博源学校Bowen校长、刘刘校长以及各位家长都亲自到机场为学生们送行，浓浓不舍之意溢于言表。满怀希冀与嘱托，在Chris 校长、王伟老师、Justin老师共同带队下，宏润博源2019暑期融美之旅扬帆启程。

Students need to get knowledge from books, but more importantly they need to see the world for themselves: to feel the differences of various cultures and enhance their cross-culture awareness and communication competence. On the afternoon of July 8, 2019, the parents, as well as Principal Bowen & Liuliu, came to Pudong Airport to see off the students. Under the leadership of Principal Chris, Mr. Wang Wei, and Mr. Justin Dalley, Hongrun Boyuan students set sail for their 2019 Summer Camp journey to the United States.

藤校游览，清晰规划 Visit Top Universities

藤校游览是此次融美之旅的阶段，实地感受名校氛围，激发目标感，进一步清晰规划。领略了哈佛大学深沉壮美，感受其自由多元与独立严谨的学术风范。欣羡于MIT作为“世界理工大学之最”的专注与傲娇，感叹于布朗大学的自由崇尚，叹服于罗德岛设计学院的灵性与创意。耶鲁大学以其“教授治校”而闻名于世，一幢希腊神庙式小楼却因神秘的学生组织“骷髅会”而著名。哥伦比亚大学以其灵活的学分互换与课程互认大大吸引了学生注意力，大家似乎发现了未来的机遇。普林斯顿大学最为亲切了，因为它是Chris校长博士期间的母校，Chris校长亲自担当导游详细介绍学校的每一栋建筑、著名专业和录取要求，如数家珍，同学们也被古朴美丽校园深深吸引。最让同学们期待的当属西点军校了，因其著名，因其神秘。最后一个参观的学校是UMASS Amherst，这是一所对很多学生而言性价比非常高的选择，学校的排名靠前，申请难度相对较小，学分转换也比较容易。一所大学就是一个独特的世界，领略了不同世界特点后，同学们对未来的规划也会更加清晰，至少会埋下进一步生长的种子。

Visiting Ivy League universities was the first part of our summer camp, in which the students could feel the atmosphere and culture of prestigious universities and be stimulated to have a bigger picture and clearer planning. We visited Harvard University, MIT, Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, Yale University, UMASS Amherst, West Point Military Academy, and Princeton University. In Princeton University, Principal Chris became the tour guide, explaining the history of different buildings and admission requirements of various majors, since Princeton is his alma mater.

融入当地，体验民风 Experience Local Culture

大学游之后我们来到了美国本土特色异常浓郁的“青山绿水”之间，与当地学生进行最密切的接触。同学们在游泳、快艇冲浪、皮划艇、骑马、自行车、手工、篮球、足球、戏剧等丰富多彩的活动中与本土学生共同配合、共同完成。同室居住、同桌用餐、同地活动，在同一个TEAM中加深了解，加深友谊。在文化的融合与冲突中反思自我，调整自己在跨文化境域中的定位。

After the college trip, we went to a camp with beautiful nature and strong local characteristics and blended in with local students. Our students joined local students in swimming, kayaking, horse riding, cycling, handwork, basketball, football, drama and other activities. They lived in the same room, dined at the same table, and worked in the same TEAM to deepen their mutual understanding and friendship. In the process of cultural integration and conflict, the students reflected on themselves and adjusted their positioning in the cross-cultural context.

动静结合，钻研学术 Work Hard Academically

经历了两周令人难忘的特色明显的旅程后，我们来到了Highland View Academy，开启了融美之旅的第三阶段，仍是一段理论与实践深度结合的学习之旅，室内课堂与带着问题的博物馆游学紧密结合，从美国的印第安人历史、黑人权利的抗争史以及美国内战历史等不同角度和纬度上深刻认识美国。

After the unforgettable first two weeks, we arrived at the Highland View Academy and started the third part of our camp journey: academic learning and corresponding field trips. Students visited museums with the questions introduced in class to know better about the United States, from the history of American Indians to civil war and so on.

收获颇丰、激励成长 Come Back With Improvement

此次夏令营重在深刻体验美国文化，整个行程同学们都在用感性去体验，用理性去分析，从饮食到服饰，从课堂到活动、从城市到乡村，从人文到自然、从逻辑到语言等，全方位、深层次地体验到了不一样的美国，相信会助益同学们规划的完善和自我的成长。

The summer camp provides the students with a profound experience of American culture. During the whole trip, our students were using their sensibilities to feel and their sense to analyze, from food to clothing, from classroom to activities, from cities to countryside, from humanities to nature, from logic to language and so on. They have had a big and deep bite of America, which will help them improve their future planning and growth.
