2019年8月24日上午上海宏润博源学校“国际课程体验营”开营仪式在学校礼堂隆重举行。体验营旨在让新同学提前熟悉学校的环境、老师、课程和资源机会，也通过素质拓展训练等活动项目，让同学们之间互相了解，建立友谊，为新学期的正式开学做好准备。

On the morning of August 24th, 2019, the opening ceremony of SHBS Orientation Camp was grandly held in the school auditorium. The camp aims to familiarize new students in advance with the school's environment, teachers, courses, resources and opportunities. It also aims to help students get to know each other, build up friendship and prepare for the real start of the new semester through activities such as quality development training.

苗老师和王伟老师主持开营仪式，11年级的汪学姐和金学姐特意赶来献上热场舞蹈和歌声，代表老生欢迎新同学。

Helen Miao and Tony Wang presided over the opening ceremony of the camp. Jenny Wang and Elaine Jin came specially on behalf of the existing students to welcome the new students. They presented to us a warm-up dance and a song respectively.

Justin老师作为教师代表上台发言。他拎着一个双肩包走上舞台，告诉大家包里面是为大家准备的礼物，哪边的同学欢呼声最热烈就会将礼物洒向哪边，气氛非常热烈。Justin老师嘱咐大家，面对新的环境，有些同学会兴奋，有些同学会紧张，大家需要找到自己的伙伴，去诉说去倾听，一起去适应去成长!老师们也非常愿意倾听同学们的心声，成为同学们的伙伴。

Justin, a foreign teacher, spoke on the stage on behalf of all the teachers. He walked onto stage with a backpack in his hand, telling everyone that it contained gifts he prepared for us all and that he would throw them to whichever group of audience who could gave the loudest cheers. Justin suggested that though some students would feel excited and others nervous in a new environment, we need to find our own partners whom we can talk to and listen to, and then adapt ourselves to the new things and grow together. All teachers are also ready to listen to students and befriend with them.

Christopher Moses校长的讲话，既有趣又充满启发性。他以自己的老板—他的猫Wawa—为例告诉我们，如果感到紧张害怕不要躲起来，应该积极主动去沟通交流!希望在新的校园、新的学期、新的起点，大家可以打开自己去探索，去倾听去提供帮助，去沟通去寻求帮助!Chris校长非常期待有同学来找他，他在办公室准备好了巧克力，期待同学们随时来找他与他沟通。

Chris Moses, our foreign principal made an interesting and inspiring speech. By citing an example of Wawa, his pet cat, he advised us to communicate actively instead of hiding ourselves from others if we feel nervous and scared. He hoped that on the new campus, from the new semester as new starting point, we would open our mind to explore, to listen to others and offer help, and to communicate with others and seek help. Principal Chris said that he would be expecting students to turn to him for a talk in his office and he would also treat them with chocolates.

执行校长刘刘上台分享了在新的校园里遵守规则的重要性：遵守规则是对自己的保护。 总校长Bowen也从外地赶回来，表达了对同学们的欢迎和期许。

Liuliu, Vice Principal, emphasized the importance of rules. She said that obeying the rules can protect ourselves to the largest extent. Principal Bowen also rushed back from another city to welcome the new students and express his expectations on them.

之后，王伟老师和苗老师讲解了体验营营规以及学校的相关规章制度;生活老师王玲分享了生活区的相关规定，并带领同学们到宿舍进行了样板间示范。

Later on, Tony and Miao informed the students of the rules of the orientation camp and other related school regulations. Miss Wang Ling, the dorm-room supervisor, explained to them some rules related to the living quarters and showed them around a couple of model rooms in the dorm building.

开幕式在学生们的期待与家长们的赞扬中结束了，丰富多彩的体验营生活拉开了序幕!

The opening ceremony ended with students' expectations and parents' praises, thus getting the orientation camp started.
