这天气，拉什么高温警报都没用，上海宏润博源学校全体教师“清一色”在校园里接受开学前培训。17日至20日，为期四天，培训课程涵盖校制建设、团队建设和业务精修三个部分。

In spite of the extreme heat in this summer, SHBS faculty gathered together for a four-day training session from August 17th-20th to prepare for the opening of the new school year. This intensive training involved refinement of our school systems, team building, and professionalism.

天上午开幕式，总校长Bowen以四个“提升”指出培训方向：继续提升教育教学质量，提升学生自主自治，提升教师的教学水平，提升学校的影响力。“教育”，教书和育人两手都要抓，需要全体教师的共同努力。

During the training session of the first morning, Principal Bowen pointed out that we need continously improve our capability in the following four aspects: cultivating students' characters and teaching them knowledge and skills; creating more opportunities for students and encouraging more student-autonomy; offering more training opportunities for faculty and furthering their teaching level; enhancing the influence of our school. Shaping the students' characters and teaching them knowledge and skills are both very important, which requires the co-effort of the whole faculty team.

教学副校陈劲给老师们解读“教师手册”，从教师形象到日常工作要求，重申要求;学生处苗主任和王主任针对“学生手册”，对一些新的条款做重点解读 ，尤其是课堂使用电子产品要求;同时，布达学生体验营任务。

Vice Principal Jin highlighted some requirements in SHBS "Teachers' Handbook," from teachers' image to some routine procedures; Dean of Students Miao and Tony highlighted some rules in SHBS "Students' Handbook," especially the rules on electronic devices, and assigned everyone's task in the orientation.

团建是老师们“开心一刻”。重点来了，活动结束，Chris校长就强调“悟”!透过活动，品参与体验，察学生心理，让老师们体验了一把教育中的角色经验，从而在教育教学中更加有创意地设计贴近学生的课堂活动。

Team building activities were happy moments for teachers, in which faculty members became students and finished the challenges given by the instructor. Besides knowing more about each other, we teachers also learned, as inspired by Principal Chris, how to enhance the bonds among students, how to motivate them, and how to give instructions, and design meaningful activities to motivate students.

重申GIA核心育人理念，重申GIA教学质量监控和过程管理的具体措施，Chris 校长的解读强化了这一概念。

第四天的中教培训课程还有刘刘副总校长关于“今天我们怎么当老师”和汪副校长“既是良师，又是益友”的微讲座。

Due to the pandemic, our GIA training adopted an online form, with academic experts from GIA USA sharing with us through video recordings. Principal Chris further interprets the core educational philosophy of GIA and highlighted how GIA monitors our teaching quality and what we should do to meet the GIA standards.

On the fourth day of training, Vice General Principal Liuliu gave a lecture on "How to Be A Teacher Today" and Vice Principal Wang gave a lecture on "Being A Good Mentor and Then A Good Friend" of the students.

在全体教师这四天的培训之前，我们的新晋教师已经进行了为期两周的培训和教研。今年开学前的全体教师培训内容丰富，使我们这个团队凝聚在一起，朝着新学期的目标迈进：

进一步加强教育教学内涵发展，把事情做得更扎实更规范。

进一步打造为学生提供多选择的成长平台。

进一步为教师提供施展才华的空间。

进一步提高家长的满意度、参与度以及社会影响力。

In fact, before this four-day training involving all faculty members, we had had a two-week long training and teaching seminar session for our new faculty members. Then, through this four-day training session, we become a team aimed at the same goal in the coming semester.

Create a better and bigger platform for our students to grow on

Provide our faculty with more training and learning opportunities and bigger platform for their development

Further enhance the satisfaction and engagement of our students' parents as well as the influence of our school
