2018年12月22日上海宏润博源学校艺术节闭幕式上，11年级普周琦同学妈妈周虹女士作为家长代表上台致词。值2019年即将到来之际，周虹女士也表达了在新的一年里对上海宏润博源学校学子们的期望。

Ms. Zhou Hong, 11th grader Jerry Pu’s mom, was invited to give an opening speech in the Closing Ceremony of SHBS Art Festival on Dec. 22th, in which she also expressed her best wishes and expectations for our students in the coming new year.

各位老师，家长，同学们，

大家早上好!Good morning!

I am 11th grader Jerry Pu ’s mom. I am so honored to give a speech today on behalf of the parents.

我是11年级普周琦的妈妈，今天非常荣幸作为家委会的代表在艺术节闭幕式上发言。

Today is the second time that I have joined the school’s art festival closing ceremony. I have been thinking about this question for a long time: Why should we encourage our children to partake in art activities?

这是我第二次参加孩子们的艺术节，我一直在思考一个问题：为什么我们要鼓励孩子们多参加艺术活动?

What can art activities bring us? What differences can art activities make in our future life?

艺术活动能带给我们什么?艺术活动对我们未来的生活会产生什么影响?

Obviously, art activities can help balance our daily life (not just study or study) and strengthen our team spirit. But, what else? More importantly, I think, art activities can make us more creative.

艺术活动可以给我们更加平衡的生活(而不是每天只有学习学习)，增强我们的团队精神!除此之外还有什么呢?我认为更重要的是艺术活动会让我们更具创造力。

Our creativity can help differentiate ourselves from others. I remember ex-CEO of Alibaba Jack Ma once mentioned that one need join more art activities and that makes one more creative and more competitive in the future.

我记得阿里巴巴的马云曾经说过，艺术活动可以让我们卓而不群，可以让我们更具创造性，从而在未来的工作中更具竞争力!

I wish you guys have a very successful and enjoyable performance today!
