上海宏润博源学校一直鼓励孩子们做随手公益，从自己身边的小事做起，从改变自己所在的社区做起。6月5日是世界环境日; 7月1日起上海市正式开始实施垃圾分类。为了增强孩子们的环保意识，也为了向市民宣传垃圾分类知识，我校与朱家角中学一起组织了“捡拾中国”之朱家角站环保活动。我校负责的路线由外方校长Christopher Moses 和苗茜楠老师带队，另有2位老师，4位家长以及近30名宏润博源的同学参与，为对抗塑料风暴贡献了我们的力量。 一起来看看11年级钟同学的捡拾日志，了解更多活动内容吧!

环保活动

Shanghai Hongrun Boyuan school has always encouraged students to do volunteering work by starting from small things in their daily life and changing the community they are in. June 5th is World Environment Day, and, on July 1st, Shanghai will officially begin to implement garbage classification. In order to enhance the children's awareness of environmental protection, as well as to publicize environmental protection knowledge and garbage classification knowledge to the public, our school, together with Zhujiajiao Middle School organized "Pick up China" environmental activity in Zhujiajiao. On our school’s part, Foreign Principal Christopher Moses and Ms. Miao qiannan led the team, which consisted2 teachers, 4 parents and nearly 30 SHBS students. 正值炎炎夏日，上海宏润博源学校和其兄弟学校---朱家角中学的学生们汇集在人潮涌动的朱家角地铁站边。他们套着手套，持着塑料钳，扛着网兜，还拖曳着一个个大麻袋! 是的，我们今天汇聚在这里，为了宣传垃圾分类，唤醒人们保护环境的意识，不乱扔垃圾。

In this dog day of the summer, students from Hongrun Boyuan School and its brother school Zhujiajiao Middle School gathered at the crowded Zhujiajiao subway station. They wore gloves, held plastic tongs, carried tuck nets, and dragged sacks! Yes, we gathered here today to publicize garbage classification and arouse people's awareness of environmental protection so that they would not litter around.

活动开始之前，带队老师要求我们分组，按小组分头在朱家角站附近各个方向行动，这样，让我们的活动更有秩序感的情况下，使我们的工作为更多人所见，以此扩大影响力和号召力。这时，每组都领到了一份调查问卷，我们向路人进行调查宣传。我很荣幸担任了小组长，于是我便建议我的一个组员，由他专门负责问卷调查，一名组员提麻袋，其他人进行捡拾工作，我们的捡拾之旅就此开始。

Before the activity began, our leading teacher asked us to act in groups, so as to make our activities more orderly and our work more visible to more people, and expand our influence and appeal. At the same time, each group received a questionnaire so that we could publicize the survey to passers-by. I was very honored to be the group leader, so I suggested that one of my team members take charge of the questionnaire survey, one of them carry sacks, and the others pick up the bags. Then our picking trip began.

上海宏润博源学校朱家角站环保活动

朱家角的街道看起来如此干净整洁，我并不认为我们能捡满一个麻袋。然而，事实证明，垃圾往往隐藏在被人遗忘的角落。 或是在浓密的绿化带间，或是在人来人往的桥面下，或是在风景区的合影纪念板之后…… 我们以“掘地三尺”的劲头，或展开挤压着塑料盒的植株;或拨开丛生的草叶，精准捡拾那一根根永远也捡不完的烟蒂头;或是用手套解决一些钳子无法解决的垃圾---沉水的靴子，破碎的化学试剂瓶，沾满水草的自行车轮胎…… 我永远也无法忘记，炎炎夏日下，那只令我虎口酸痛的钳子，那个由焦黄色固体和液体混合的，散着发酵过的酸臭味儿的不明物体，还有那些陪我一路走来，一路捡拾的同学、老师们。其中，最让我敬佩的是我们的Mr. Chris 先生，他精力充沛，勤勤恳恳地捡拾了三大麻袋的垃圾。

I didn't think we could pick up a full sack of garbage before we started, because the streets of Zhujiajiao looked so clean and tidy. However, it turned out that garbage was often hidden in forgotten corners, in the thick green belt, under the bridge, behind the scenic area of the photo plate...... We dug deep into the ground, extracted plastic boxes from bushes, and pushed aside grass to pick up numerous cigarette butts; sometimes we had to use gloves to deal with some garbage that tongs could not handle -- wet boots, broken chemical bottles, wet bicycle tires... And I will never forget, under this hot summer days, that I had to use the tongs so often and so hard that my hand ached and that the burnt yellow solid and liquid mixture emitted fermented sour smells. Great thanks to my schoolmates and teachers who accompanied me all the way to pick up the trash. Among them, I admire Mr. Chris the most. Although he has gray hair, he is still energetic and diligent. He collected three big sacks of garbage that afternoon.

这一次捡拾活动，让我深深地意识到了宣传垃圾分类，不乱扔垃圾的重要性。然而最重要的是源头有没有得到治理，即扔垃圾者本人有没有得到教育，这一次捡拾活动可能治标不治本，但我相信通过我们的宣传，会有更多的人一起加入到我们的队伍里，让青浦区变得真正干净而美丽。

This activity is of great significance. It makes me see the unknown side of Zhujiajiao, which is usually clean and beautiful. Most often, we understand things better when we experience them. However, the most important thing is whether the source will be managed, that is to say, whether the garbage throwers have been educated. Although this pickup activity may be a palliative rather than a cure, I believe that through our publicity, more people will join us and Zhujiajiao will become truly clean and beautiful.
