2018年10月22日下午的CAS时间，师生们齐聚礼堂，期待已久的上海宏润博源学校届英语歌曲比赛终于拉开了帷幕，英文歌唱比赛旨在增强我们英文表达能力，提高我们对英文自主学习的乐趣，同时也提供了让同学们展示自我的一个舞台。

During the CAS session on Monday afternoon, all faculty members and students gathered in the auditorium, excited. The long-awaited First SHBS Singing (in English) Competition eventually took place. This competition aims to enhance our English communicative skills, to stimulate our interest in learning English independently, and to provide a stage for us to show ourselves.

英文歌曲比赛

评委团实力雄厚，由陈文国校长、刘刘校长、Christopher Moses校长、杨洲笛老师、Justin Dally和Randy Centers组成了阵势浩大的老师评委团;而学生方面，则由普周琦、郦之萱、安哲男、王卓然打分并点评。评委会在比赛结束之后当场揭晓比赛结果。

The strong judging panel consisted of teahcer representatives General Principal Bowen, Vice General Principal Liu Liu, Foreign Principal Christopher Moses, Mr. Michael Yang, Mr. Justin Dally and Mr. Randy Centers, and student representatives Jerry Pu, Tris Li, Jackie An and Sunnee Wang. Every judge graded all contestants with comments, and the results of the competition were announced right after the competition.

陈文国校长致词中，希望同学们把握机会，踊跃展现自己，提高对于英语学习的兴趣。

In his opening remarks, Principal Bowen hoped that we would avail ourselves of every opportunity to actively show ourselves and boost our interest in learning English.

两位主持人走上台，请出Mr. Randy Centers带来开场歌曲。

Immediately after Bowen’s address, one host and one hostess stepped onto the stage and invited Mr. Randy Centers to present an opening song, which triggered thunderous applause from the audience.

Randy Centers专业歌手一曲毕，台下掌声如雷，比赛正式开始。

His song marked the beginning of the singing competition.

位参赛选手是来自10年1班的Elaine金依澜，她的歌曲是《wonderful u》。

The first song “Wonderful U” was brought by Elaine Jin from Grade 10, Class 1.

接着，Murphy顾政带来《panzerkampf》、10年级的Eva徐嘉蔚和Gracy一组，联合演唱《I hate you，I love you》、 Corner汪天啸和William徐铭阳演唱的《counting stars》。他们的歌曲节奏明快，演唱时和声交融、层次分明，激情抒发少年情感，简直是一场流行曲的饕餮之宴。

Next, Murphy Gu presented his “Panzerkampf”,which was followed by the song “I hate you and I love you” performed by 2 10th-graders Eva Xu and Gracy Gu. Corner Wang & Willy Xu ended the first half of the competition with their “Counting Stars”. All their songs had fast-paced rhythms and were blended with harmonies, with distinct levels of voices and passion to express the emotions of teenagers, making the competition an audio and visual enjoyment of pop songs.

激情少年

欣赏完同学们精彩的表现之后，文艺部部长Sean徐子璇上台，说要给评委准备一份礼物，他拿出10张写有评委名字的小纸条抽签，被抽中的评委要上台清唱一曲，这可是“将”评委团一军呐!

After the first half of the competition, Sean Xu, Coordinator of Art & Show Events in SHBS Students Union, walked onto the stage and said that he had a “gift” for the judges. Then he took out 10 small pieces of paper with different names of the judges written on each of them and announced that the judge whose name was on the drawn piece of paper would have to sing us a song without accompaniment. What a challenging “gift” it was for the judges!

最终，全场呼声最高的Micheal杨洲笛老师有幸中奖，带来了风靡全球，脍炙人口的经典歌曲!小星星

At last, Michael Yang, the most eagerly expected judge in the panel, luckily won the “gift” and he brought us the world-famous and frequently-sung hit song “Twinkle star”!

一段小插曲后，下半场的首歌曲由Eric奥珅打响，《ABC cafe》。不愧是学生会明星人物，奥珅的演唱，或慷慨激扬，或舒缓低回，太有歌星范儿了。

After this fun episode, Eric Ao began the second half of the competition with his "ABC cafe". Both his stage manners and his rising and falling tones revealed his singing star potential . No wonder that he is the star leader of the Students’ Union.

之后又是双人组《Try》由Elanie金依澜和Anna张怡凡演唱、Corner汪天啸和Gary池俊涛的《There for you》

Then, two sweet girls, Elaine Jin and Anna Zhang performed a duet "Try", which was followed by two boys’ duet "There for you" performed by Corner Wang and Gary Chi .

最后的压轴曲是11年级孙晓乐表演的由她自己创作的歌曲《memory》，写词作曲，自弹自唱，评委们赞不绝口，给出了空前高分。

Giant Sun ended the competition with her final touch “Memory”, which was composed, written, sung and accompanied on the piano all by herself. The jury sang high praise for her marvellous performance and gave her unprecedented high scores.

最后，文艺部部长Sean徐子璇上台宣布比赛结果：

第2名：奥珅的《ABC cafe》

第3名：金依澜的《wonderful u》

第4名：金依澜&张怡凡的《try》

Finally, Sean Xu, appeared on the stage and announced the results of the competition.

The second place belonged to “ABC cafe” by Eric Ao.

The Third place went to Elaine Jin’s “Wonderfu U”..

Elaine Jin and Anna Zhang took hold of the Fourth place by singing their duet “try”.
