2018年9月17日，上海宏润博源学校学生会成立。学生会全体成员一行16位来自不同年级的学生，庄严走向舞台。他们任重道远。这里将翻开他们又一页多彩的篇章。奥珅同学以本届学生会主席的身份，代表2018学生会，站上主席台，面向全体师生，发表就职演说。

Sep. 17th saw the establishment of the Students' Union of Shanghai Hongrun Boyuan School, whose 16 members coming from different grades stepped on the stage. Waiting for them is a long journey in which another wonderful chapter of their life will be unfolded. On behalf of the 2018 SHBS Students' Union, President Eric Ao delivered his inauguration speech in front of all students and faculty members.

Ladies & Gentlemen，

女士们&先生们，

Good afternoon!

下午好!

A week a ago as I had the privilege to be the president and meet geniuses like you, I decided nobody should have to endure the heartbreak of a broken Student Union. No one in the best international school of Shanghai should get angry because they got unfair treatment. Nobody should have to tell their teachers or friends the decisions they can or cannot make for themselves are constraint because of some bullies in our beautiful school.

一周前，当我有幸成为我们的学生会主席，有幸遇到如你们一般的才郎秀女时，我便下定决心：绝不会有人为支离破碎的学生会而心碎一地;也不会有哪个身处上海国际学校的学生会因受到不公待遇而愤愤不平;更不会有任何人会因这美丽校园中的独裁恶霸而去问他的老师朋友——我能做什么，我该做什么?

And thanks to you, we’ve made a difference in students’ lives. Thanks to you, there are shy folks that I enjoy chatting with today & who have gotten care and their study careers have been much happier.

And they’ve got their perfect own friendships. And they are living a new life and it happened because of you.

如今，我要感谢你们——是你们为学生们的生活带来了崭新的不同。我要感谢你们——那些原先懵懂羞涩，现在却能与我畅谈的伙伴们已经得到了应有的关怀，他们的学习生涯都步入了快乐幸福的正轨。他们拥获了完美无瑕的友谊，开启了属于自己的新生活——这一切的一切，都要感谢你们的支持与帮助!

We've come too far to turn back now. We have lots of work to do to implement our regulations. We have lots of work to do to create more masterpieces. We have lots of suggestions that we need to consider. We have many activities that still need complete organizing.

我们已经经历了太多太多，但仍没到回首的时候。要完善我们的规章制度，创造更多的杰作——我们还有很多的工作要做。还有许多建议我们要去深思，还有许多活动要靠大家一起齐心协力去组织。

There's more potential in students we need to discover. There are more decorations that we need to pay attention to. There are more doors of opportunities that we need to open to anyone who is willing to work hard and walk through those doors. We need build a strong shield of our school. No matter how old you are or how much experience you’ve got, you can make it here if you try. And you can leave something behind in the history of our school. That's what we are striving for now on this stage. That's why I'm running for President of the Student Union. That's why I'm asking for your help!

还有众多学生的潜力还在等着我们去挖掘，还有更多美化装饰要我们付出心血，还有一盏盏机会之门等着我们去打开——为了每一位愿意潜心耕耘，渴望实现自我价值的同学而敞开。我们要成为学校坚实的后盾——无论你身处几年级，是否具备工作经验——你都可以撒手去做!你一定可以在我们学校漫漫历史中留下属于自己的印记!这就是我今天要在讲台上为各位同学争取的;这就是我为什么想要成为学生会主席;这就是为什么我在寻求每一位同学的支持!

I have faith in you. And if you have faith in me, and if you're willing to stand with me, and to knock on some doors with me, and to design some plans with me, and to talk to your parents and friends about what we are striving for right now, we will win everything. We will finish what we start. And we'll remind everybody why we are the best class of our school.

我始终坚信各位——如果你们还愿意寄信任于我，如果你们还愿意与我同在，如果你们还愿意与我一起去叩门拜访，与我一起制定完善计划，并告诉你们的父母朋友——我们究竟在争取什么——那我们就赢得了一切。我们会像当初扬帆起航般实现这一切。我们将再一次告诉每一个人：我们是宏润博源最出彩的一代!
