2019年5月24日，阳光炙烤，大清早就感觉到地面温度升高，学生们却跃跃欲试，期待着在运动场上证明自己的机会——上海宏润博源学校2019运动嘉年华。

On May 24th, the sun was so scorching that the ground temperature kept rising early in the morning, but the students were warming themselves up, anxiously waiting for the chance to prove themselves on the playground-the SHBS2019 Sports Carnival.

首先是入场式，向我们走过来的支队伍是教师队伍，他们个个戴着大墨镜，举着泡泡抢，一路“发射”，整个操场空间顿时布满了七彩泡泡，十分喜庆，看得我们乐了;紧接着是9年级1班，他们穿着一身红艳在操场正中央，他们在干嘛?那是!——广播体操!伴随着音乐让人不禁回想起小学时光。随后是9年级2班，它们在操场正中央尽情展现着自我;9年级3班跳着舞步，迅速从主席台走过。

An entry parade was to take place at the beginning of the sports meeting. The first team marching into the playground was that of the faculty members. Each teacher was wearing a big pair of sun glasses, holding a bubble gun in hand and “firing” bubbles all the way. Soon the colorful bubbles filled the air above the entire playground, making the scene appear festive and amusing us all. The faculty team was followed by students from Grade 9 Class 1. Led by Chloris, the homeroom teacher, they started doing radio exercises in brightly-red sweaters, which called up memories of our primary school days. Next, Students from Grade 9, Class 2&3 came into our sight. They marched quickly past the platform while dancing and performing confidently in front of us all.

接着，10年级1班、10年级2班，在音乐与旋律中，在黎老师和王老师带领下，以运动舞蹈展现活泼的身姿。10-2班的音乐串烧，多种舞蹈交织在一起，他们是赛场上的多面手，是一个团结的集体。最后一个表演的是11年级们，他们抱着篮球，整齐划一，篮球的击打声演奏出了他们的青春物语。

Then it was Grade 10’s turn to march in. Led by Venus and Tony, their homeroom teachers, students from class 1 & 2 began dancing merrily and lively to the music and melody. The last array to enter the playground was Grade 11. Each holding a basketball in hand, they bounced the balls against the ground, which sounded just like their youthful and vigorous heartbeats.

比赛项目开始了。首先是激烈的田径赛。四百米赛跑，一声枪响，眼见赵靖飞同学一下子窜出十多米，叫人心里暗暗替他加油。果然，他个冲到终点，第二名紧随其后，但也差了好几步。

After the entry parade came to an end, the competition events started. Usually, the track and field events involve fierce competition. Zhao jingfei won the first place of the 400-meter race by dashing like a thunder across the finish line. He was faster than the runner-up by a few strides.

最开心的是师生同场四个集体项目：《袋鼠运瓜》师生们的脚上套着麻袋，跳起来必须撅着屁股，一蹦一蹦到达十几米远的对面，然后又重新开始蹦跳;《蛟龙出海》节目一开始，就听见各种“一二”“一二”的号子声;一会儿，《车轮滚滚》的阵势排出来了，那“滚动”的气势简直让你感觉无法阻挡;最后一个集体项目是《情同手足》，让人感觉忍俊不禁的乐。

The most entertaining part of the sports carnival was the 4 group events which both teachers and students took part in.

运动嘉年华

下午场是师生网球赛和篮球赛。据内行人士报告，个头壮大的男生们给教师团队“放水”，比赛场上没把老师们“打”得很难看。

In the afternoon, students and teachers competed against each other in tennis and basketball matches. It was said that the faculty team was defeated, but not so miserably.

本次运动会比赛项目丰富，不仅包含了田径，篮球，网球等常规项目，还包含了多种趣味项目，意在培养学生团结协作的能力。同时教师团队的参与，营造师生们之间和谐的氛围。

This sports meeting covers a wide range of events, which includes not only regular events like track and field, basketball and tennis, but also many fun games aiming to develop students’ team work spirit and coordination skills. What’s more, faculty members’ participation in the sports meeting serves to create a congenial atmosphere and cement the friendship between teachers and students.

运动嘉年华，是宏润博源一年以来快乐的总结，它朝气蓬勃、充满动感，它就如那个“车轮滚滚”运动项目，不管风雨，一直向前。

The sports carnival is a happy ending for the first academic year of SHBS.
